Paula Ketterer
Born in the USA and former Miss Virginia contestant, I traded pageant crowns for passports and never glanced in the rearview. From Christie's glittering auction halls to Scotland's power-packed board rooms, I’ve collected an MBA, a corporate career, Chartered Marketer status and a UK property TV series contract like they were accessories. But we are all more than a series of bullet points on a resumé.
Having lived half my life in Scotland and the other half in Virginia, my life experiences come with a mash-up of tartan grit and Southern charm – think Scotch whisky mixed with sweet, iced tea. Admittedly, most of the stories happened in the UK, but trust me the accent in my head is a wild blend of “y’all” and “aye.”
From the Scottish Borders, I now serve up mid-life majesty shaken with a cocktail of raw insight, stirred with unapologetic flair, and garnished with zero patience for playing small.
So, whether it’s my book or podcast, you’ll hear a wee bit of Scots, a dash of British slang, and the occasional Southern twang sneaking in like it owns the place. But whether your Scottish, American, or somewhere in between, the takeaways are universal – because life lessons don’t care what side of the Atlantic you’re on.
